Established near the base at one of western Victoria’s most stunning natural landmarks is a landmark livestock farm, which has hit the market with a staggering price.

Wykeham farm, located at 560 North Boundary Road Dunkeld, is on the market for the first time in more than 40 years.

Vendors John and Sally Robertson are selling their property after 42 years farming in the southern Grampians region, with potential buyers lining up to secure a long-term agricultural investment in a tightly held rural area.

With three lots at 1013ha, it is expected the property could command offers of around $22.5m-$24.5m (around 22,500 per ha).

HF Richardson Property sales executive Ken MacDonald said the farm was home to unique views of the Grampians, very reliable rainfall and first-class livestock developments.

Mr Richardson also said he was tipping offers to come from a range of different parties.

.

“I am expecting a mixture of local buyers, city investors and farmers from further north who might be looking at the property because of its secure rainfall in the area,” he said.

“There has been good, strong inquiry so far and we have held a couple of inspections.

“The views are stunning when you look up and see the Grampians. You can never tire of the view.

“The county itself has ancient redgums across the property, so it is just a farm for livestock.”

Currently, the Robertson family use Wykeham as a prime lamb breeding and cattle enterprise with a capacity of 17,500 DSE (dry sheep equivalents) with average annual rainfall of 700mm.

The property has Wannon River frontage with Mt Abrupt and Mt Sturgeon in full view.

The farm is split into three lots; Wykeham (343ha), Lot 2 (352ha) and Prinprinyah (319ha) and is being sold via expressions of interest closing Tuesday, May 17.

Earlier in 2022, the Craig family of Adelaide sold Tuloona Pastoral to local buyer in deal believed to be worth about $30 million.
