QUEENSLAND cattle station, The Patrick, has reportedly sold for more than $7 million — prior to auction.

The 16,547ha property located at Barcaldine was purchased by Tawarri Pastoral Company, run by Andrew and Annabelle Kibble, and reportedly sold for about $7.3 million.

It was due to be auctioned by Ruralco Property and GDL Real Estate on April 8.

The Patrick was sold by Stewart and Anna Weir.

Selling agent Ben Pelizzari from Ruralco Property could not comment on the selling price but said The Patrick received a lot of inquiries.

“There was plenty of interest locally and afar including Emerald, Dalby and Roma,” Mr Pelizzari said.

“The location was one of the big drawcards because it is so close to the highway as well as the rainfall and diversity of the country.”

The property features a four bedroom homestead, an extensive laneway system, two sets of cattle yarns and mostly loam soils.

The Kibbles also recently purchased Barcaldine Downs stud lease, previously owned by Clark and Tait.
