THE renowned Terrica Aggregation, known for its super fine wool production, has been listed for sale with an asking price of $18 million.
The 15,989ha property was originally occupied in the mid 1800s by the influential pastoralists and pioneering McLeod family who were famous for their leading purebred Merino stud, specialising in fine wool production.
Terrica Aggregation consists of 26 titles and is being sold as a whole or in two contiguous holdings — Terrica Station (7004ha) and Currajong (8984ha).
Elders selling agent Nick Myer said it was rare for such an iconic asset to be offered for sale.
“This impressive pastoral aggregation is steeped in history and the owners are to be commended for their continued capital investment to uphold the famous heritage and overall efficiencies,” Mr Myer said.
The property, located in southern Queensland near Inglewood, features a five-bedroom Federation-style homestead among a parklike garden setting, modern feedlot complex with a fully automated feeding system and sounds water supply via about 60 surface dams, spring fed creeks and reticulated trough system.
It has a carrying capacity of about 36,000 dry sheep equivalents and is suited to a range of agricultural endeavours.
