Iconic cattle stations, owned by one of Australia’s largest landholders, are under offer.
ICONIC Northern Territory cattle stations, owned by one of Australia’s largest landholders, are under offer.
Gulf of Carpentaria cattle stations Wollogorang and Wentworth are under offer, reportedly to a Queensland pastoral family.
The stations are owned by Chinese billionaire Xingfa Ma, who owns the China-based ball bearing manufacturing company Tianma Bearing Group.
Wollogorang and Wenthworth are a combined 705,198ha and were purchased by Mr Ma in 2015 for $47 million through his company’s Australiana arm, TBG Agri Holdings.
The stations, which border the Northern Territory and Queensland, have 80km of coastline and were being sold on a walk-in walkout basis with 30,000 cattle.
The sprawling stations represents more than half of Mr Ma’s estimated 1.35 million ha Australian landholdings.
