We name the best Victorian country leagues’ under-21 players

AFL and VFL talent scouts take note. There’s some serious young talent tearing up local leagues in the country. Local Footy writers have named more than 100 to watch.

Pure Footy - episode 23 2022

Country football is still producing high quality young stars despite the fact that in some areas there has been little to no football since 2019.

As we celebrate the first month of country finals action in three years it’s time to look at the budding crop of rising talent who are setting senior competitions alight in all the big leagues.

We’ve scoured ten competitions, including the major centres of Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo and Gippsland, to compile a list of more than 100 footballers who are best placed to go on to big things in the next few years.

This list includes players not affiliated with VFL clubs or NAB League clubs from the start of the year.

Here are the future stars.
