A western suburbs massage therapist will stand trial over allegations he raped and indecently assaulted a female client in a major shopping centre.
A western suburbs massage therapist will head to trial after denying he raped and indecently assaulted a female client in a major shopping centre.
In the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning, 59-year-old masseur Fubo Jiang, of Linden Park, stood silently as Magistrate Patrick Hill read the charges against him.
Mr Jiang has been charged with two counts of engaging in sexual intercourse with a person without consent and one count of indecent assault, with police alleging the offence occurred earlier this year in West Lakes.
The alleged victim of his offending, police say, was a client, and it is understood the offences allegedly took place in the Westfield shopping centre.
The Advertiser understands a large police presence arrived at All Around Massage Shop in Westfield at West Lakes on the day of the alleged offending.
At the time, multiple business owners, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said they witnessed police officers reviewing CCTV belonging to the parlour while its staff waited outside.
All Around Massage resumed work after police left and continued operations on the next day.
Mr Jiang on Wednesday pleaded not guilty, through a Chinese interpreter.
He will next appear in the District Court in October, when a date will be set for trial.
