A 59-year-old eastern suburbs man was arrested on Thursday following an investigation into an alleged sexual assault.
The man was charged with rape and indecent assault and police allege the offence occurred on January 2 in the western suburbs.
The Advertiser understands a large police presence arrived at All Around Massage Shop in Westfield at West Lakes.
Multiple business owners, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said they witnessed police officers reviewing CCTV belonging to the parlour while its staff waited outside.
All Around Massage resumed work after police left and continued operations on the next day.
The business has been contacted for comment.
A spokesperson for Scentre Group – which owns and operates Westfield – declined to comment as the incident was a “police matter”.
The man was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on February 27.
