A bus passenger travelling home was the victim of an “unprovoked’ attack at West Lakes interchange last week and police are calling for witnesses to come forward.
Vision of the incident obtained by 7News shows a man and a woman repeatedly striking a man sitting on the bus who raised his hands in self defence to try to deflect the blows.
A police spokesperson said that at “about 7.40pm on Wednesday 27 November, a 48-year-old man reported that he was commuting home on a bus from West Lakes Interchange when he was the victim of an unprovoked attack by a man and woman.
“He was punched to his head and torso causing minor injuries,” a police spokesperson said.
Police are investigating the incident and ask anyone with information that may assist to contact Crime Stoppers.
