Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was spotted on the streets of Adelaide on Saturday as the legendary football boss continued his holiday around Australia.
Klopp was photographed by fans at the Port Adelaide passenger terminal, as well as in the Adelaide CBD.
Soccer fan Andrew Dean posted a picture with Klopp taken on King William St, with the caption “this just happened in sleepy old Adelaide’.
Dean also posted: “This was around 45 mins ago! I’ve only just calmed down. He jumped straight into a waiting car after the photo. When I asked why he was in Adelaide, he said “it’s called a holiday”. Unbelievable that I spotted him.’’
Klopp has been in Australia for the last two weeks and was spotted in Darwin, where he had a drink in the Berry Springs Tavern with Liverpool fans.
It is believed, Klopp is on a cruise around Australia.
The MS Europa docked in Port Adelaide on Saturday and is scheduled to arrive at Kangaroo Island Sunday before heading to Melbourne.
Klopp was a favourite with Liverpool fans, delivering the club’s first title in 30 years when he won the Premier League in 2020. He also guided the team to a Champions League triumph and won the FA Cup.
He stepped down at the end of last season and will become the head of soccer at Red Bull on January 1.
