An alleged esctasy bust outside a festival in Adelaide led police to search two more homes, with a young alleged drug dealer now set to face court.

Police uncover massive haul in biggest drug bust ever

A drug bust during a festival in Adelaide’s parklands at the weekend led police to raid a hotel room and a home in the north-west, where they allegedly found a stash of cocaine, cannabis and cash.

Police were conducting random searches outside the Culture rave festival at Ellis Park on Saturday afternoon when a man suspected of having drugs was stopped by police dog Neve and her handler.

Following a search, police allegedly uncovered 42 ecstasy capsules in plastic resealable bags.

Officers then searched the suspect’s home at Mansfield Park, where they allegedly uncovered $16,360 in cash, two knuckle dusters and an amount of cocaine.

Police then searched an apartment in the city where the 23-year-old man was staying, and allegedly found more cocaine, cannabis and cash.

The Mansfield man was arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled drug and possess prohibited weapon.

He was granted bail to appear in Adelaide’s Magistrates Court in March.

In an unrelated incident, a police chase overnight resulted in a major drug bust, police say, with the chopper called in to chase a car from the northern suburbs to the hills.
