There wasn’t a tool belt in sight at the 2024 Housing and Construction Awards at Toowoomba’s Rumours as the industry gathered to celebrate the industry’s finest.
Our innovative and talented building sector, which has been struggling with numerous debilitating industry shortcomings, has rallied for a much-needed celebration in Toowoomba for the 2024 Housing and Construction Awards.
The awards ceremony at Rumours International Convention Centre on Friday night, August 23, championed builders from across the region known for their hard work, ingenuity, and quality.
Master Builders Queensland regional manager Linda Rosengreen said, “Hutchinson Builders swept the pool with an impressive six gongs”.
“An unwavering commitment to personal and professional growth and her role as a valued and trusted mentor to female cadets in the industry earned Cody Lugg (from Hutchies), the Women in Building Award.”
A home in Highfields dubbed the Penny Home, built by Windamere Homes, took out the title for best Home of the Year.
“Working closely with their clients before construction paid off for the Windamere Homes team, whose exceptional skill and attention to detail is visible at every turn,” Ms Rosengreen said in a press release.
“Penny Home was designed with both luxury living and sustainability in mind.
“From the ex-railway bridge Blackbutt timber flooring to the Low E glass, timeless stone features and soaring raked ceiling, our judges praised Windamere’s commitment to quality craftsmanship in this exquisite home.”
