Sunshine Coast mansion breaks Queensland record, sells for $34 million

A retail investment on Noosa’s famous Hastings Street has become available for the first time in almost two decades.

The property, at 26/18 Hastings Street, is located in the precinct’s retail and cafe heart, Bay Village.

Ray White Commercial Noosa and Sunshine Coast North property consultant David Brinkley said the property had been tightly held for the past 17 years.

The 61sq m ground floor site is up for grabs for $1.6 million.

The property is leased to clothing brand Zambezee who have been trading in Noosa since 2008.

Mr Brinkley said the tenancy was renewed for three years with a further three-year option to follow afterwards.

“The shop is in an excellent position with high foot traffic from both Hastings Street, the multi-level car park at the rear, and the neighbouring Sofitel hotel,” Mr Brinkley said.

The opportunity opened up as the Noosa residential market continued to boom during the ongoing pandemic.

Interstate buyers fleeing Covid-stricken states had propped up an already lucrative market with significant deals being sealed over the past 12 months.

The region had experienced growth of more than 30 per cent in the past 12 months.
