POLICE: Man charged following fatal ATV incident
Police have charged a Riverina man following a fatal ATV incident near Cootamundra.
A man has been charged following the death of a toddler in an all-terrain vehicle incident at a rural property in the Riverina in NSW.
Police say a 2-year-old boy fell from an ATV near Cootamundra in the state’s south. However, he was declared deceased on arrival at the Cootamundra Hospital.
A 3-year-old boy was uninjured in the accident.
Police established a crime scene on the property and said they investigated the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following inquiries by the Crash Investigation Unit, the male driver, 34, was issued with a Future Court Attendance Notice by police for the offence of dangerous driving occasioning death.
The man will appear before Cootamundra Local Court on December 16 and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
