Palmer family to sell Queensland farm, Glenapp Station, in $20m-plus deal

A rare 1200ha Queensland farm is for sale, with an Aussie family looking to offload the property in a deal which could fetch $20m-plus.

'Three key factors': Agriculture businesses making bumper profits

An Aussie family is looking to offload one of Queensland’s premier high-performance grazing and irrigation farms in a deal which could fetch more than $20m.

The 1232ha Glenapp Station is located in the heart of southeast Queensland, just 100km from Brisbane and the Gold Coast and close to the Border Ranges National Park.

The Palmer family are the owners of the property and have decided to sell Glenapp Station to consolidate their existing pastoral interests.

The family run their agribusiness operation from Weribone Station, south of Surat, more than five hours away from the Glenapp Station.

Colliers selling agent Leah Freney said it was rare to see a property of this size, productivity and water licences on the market in southeast Queensland.

“It is an exceptional farm and something of this size that is highly developed with improved pastures and large water entitlements that are highly sought after,” she said.

“It has attracted a high-level of interest from existing grazing and cropping family enterprises with corporate level interest anticipated.”

Ms Freney also said there has been significant interest from both domestic and international investors seeking location, scale and water assets.

Glenapp Station features substantial infrastructure and significant water access with 903MgL water allocations and a 300MgL dam which has been developed for irrigation and dryland cropping.

The property also has a historical 1200 breeder beef carrying capacity plus progeny with 202ha irrigated and dryland cultivation.

The property is available for sale via expressions of interest closing April 7, 2022.

Last month a Sydney investor and a NSW farming family listed their separate livestock aggregations for sale with the farms expected to fetch more than $100m combined.

Selling agents Phillip Kelly (0436 366 578) and Leah Freney (0415 849 293) can be contacted regarding the property.
