TWO vegan activists for Direct Action Everywhere who trespassed at a West Australian piggery and live streamed it on social media have been fined a total of $10,000.
James Warden, 25, and Katrina Sobianina, 24, appeared in Mandurah Magistrates Court yesterday where they pleaded guilty to trespassing at a Pinjarra piggery on February 25.
PETITION AGAINST FARM INVADERS LAUNCHED
Warden also admitted trespassing at a Mundijong farm on February 6 and possessing pepper spray.
He was fined $7000, while Sobianina was fined $3000 and granted a spent conviction.
About 30 supporters held signs outside court.
