Disney Cruises launches mega sale for Aussie families

Disney is the latest travel operator to tempt budget-conscious families into a getaway, offering major discounts on Australia and New Zealand sailings.

Disney is the latest to offer deals for Aussie families looking to go on a cruise with the American multinational offering a 50 per cent discount for third and fourth guests on select Australia and New Zealand sailings.

The limited time offer is available on the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish cruise liners for sailings between October 3, 2025 and March 30, 2026.

Disney’s cruise liners departing from Australian and New Zealand shores leave from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland.

Disney said that the 50 per cent discount would be applied to the voyage fare of the third and fourth guests with the purchase of two full-fare guests in the same stateroom.

The cruises must be booked by October 12, 2025.

There are also a raft of other cruise deals currently on offer as families look to make the most of school holidays during the second half of the year and in the lead up to Christmas.

NCL, for example, includes up to $2500 off all cruises and their popular More At Sea offer, with over $3250 in added value, like specialty dining and wi-fi packages.

Their 15-day Asia: Hong Kong & Thailand itinerary is popular among Aussies, and is now from $3697 a person twin share and departs on November 17, 2025, travelling from Taipei to Singapore.

It comes as Qantas and Jetstar launched sales to tempt families to take to the air for their getaways.

Qantas dropped prices on 350,000 international seats, with return fares starting from just $499.

The Qantas sale is running during a similar period to the Disney sale period, from July 2025 to May 2026, and includes multiple Australian school holiday periods.

For one week only, customers can snag discounted flights on more than 30 routes across Asia, the Americas, the UK, Africa, and the Pacific.

The Qantas sale features sought-after destinations including Los Angeles, Dallas, Hong Kong, Tokyo, London, Singapore, and the perennially popular Bali.

Economy return fares kick off at just $499 from Melbourne to Christchurch.

Other standout deals include Sydney to Tokyo for $949 return and Brisbane to Los Angeles for $1099 return.

Meanwhile, Virgin’s partnership with Qatar Airways has ramped up competition on routes from Australia to Europe.

Families keen on Disney’s cruise sale offers must phone the Disney Cruise Line Contact Center to book stateroom accommodations for five guests among other terms and conditions.
