West Australian cropping giant John Nicoletti is selling his farm machinery business, Ag Implements, which includes six dealerships across the WA wheatbelt.

It is expected to fetch more than $40 million.

Who owns Australia’s farms 2019

Ag Implements was established in about 2001 by Mr Nicoletti, with the first dealership in Merredin after the demise of Carson’s of Merredin.

Mr Nicoletti expanded the business by purchasing dealerships in Mukinbudin, Northam, Cunderdin, Narembeen and Quairading.

Ag Implements’ website says it employs 100 staff across its six locations.

CBRE is handling the international expressions of interest campaign.

The sale comes just months after Mr Nicoletti sold his 200,000ha WA cropping aggregation to a Saudi public investment fund.

SALIC Australia, a subsidiary of SALIC KSA, owned by the public investment fund of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bought the portfolio for a reported $60 million.
