$519 return flights: Qantas overseas airfares sale drops
Qantas is offering 100,000 discounted flights across nine popular holiday destinations, as Australia’s airline price wars heat up. See the full list of deals.
Qantas has launched a huge international sale with more than 100,000 discounted seats to nine destinations across Asia, including popular holiday spots like Bali, Hong Kong, India and the Philippines.
Economy return sale fares start from $519 from Perth or Darwin to Singapore, $599 from Melbourne to Bali or $679 from Sydney to Bali.
Passengers can also snap up discounted fares of $829 from Brisbane to Manila or $899 from Sydney to Manila.
There are also sale prices of $949 from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane to Tokyo, and $929 from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane to Bangkok.
“We know how much our customers love our international sales, and we’re excited to be offering some great deals today across almost our entire Asia network,” Qantas CEO International Cam Wallace said.
“Whether it’s chasing the sun in Bali, exploring the street food scene in Hong Kong or visiting friends and family, there’s something here for everyone. These travel dates also line up with some great events and festivals across Asia, making it the perfect time to start planning a getaway.”
The sale is available for seven days from Tuesday, May 13, through to Monday, May 19.
Qantas fares include checked baggage, meals, beverages and entertainment.
Sale fares are for travel between 1 June 2025 and 31 March 2026 with select blackout dates and are available until 11.59pm (AEST) Monday 19 May, unless sold out prior.
The Qantas sale comes on the heels of Jetstar’s huge 21st birthday sale, touted as one of the airline’s biggest sales of the year.
The birthday sale has more than 225,000 discounted fares available across over 100 different domestic and international routes.
Domestic Jetstar flights include Sydney to Ballina Byron from $38, Sydney to Melbourne from $42, Melbourne to Gold Coast from $64, Adelaide to Cairns from $115 and Canberra to Brisbane from $103.
Jetstar’s international sale prices include Melbourne to Nadi from $189, Cairns to Christchurch from $199 and Sydney to Rarotonga from $279.
The birthday sale ends at 11.59pm AEST on Tuesday 13 May, unless sold out prior. Travel dates vary per route but include late May to mid-December 2025 for domestic and early July 2025 to late March 2026 for international.
