Major upgrades at St Paul’s Catholic Primary School improve accessibility, safety, and learning spaces
A Darwin primary school has received a significant infrastructure boost, enhancing accessibility and safety for students and staff.
St Paul’s Catholic Primary School in Rapid Creek has officially opened new amenities aimed at improving safety, accessibility, and learning environments for students.
Member for Solomon Luke Gosling was on hand to unveil the upgraded senior amenities area, a new fire alert system, and an accessibility ramp and lift—key developments made possible through $514,437 in funding from the Australian Government’s Capital Grants Program.
“These upgrades ensure St Paul’s continues to provide a safe, inclusive, and modern space for students and staff,” Mr Gosling said.
“From the fire alert system to improved accessibility, these improvements will benefit students now and in years to come.”
The Capital Grants Program provides funding to non-government schools lacking sufficient capital resources, ensuring all students have access to quality learning facilities.
The school community has welcomed the upgrades, with teachers and students already seeing the benefits of the improved facilities.
The new lift and ramp will provide greater access for all students, while the fire alert system enhances overall safety on campus.
“These new facilities are a reflection of our commitment to ensuring local students have the best possible opportunities,” Mr Gosling said.
With the upgrades now complete, St Paul’s Catholic Primary School is set to continue its mission of delivering a supportive and high-quality education for its students.
