Darwin’s Street Food Program returns, offering new locations and opportunities for vendors

Darwin’s beloved Street Food Program is back, bringing even more delicious options to the city, with vendor applications now open.

Darwin’s street food scene is turning up the heat, with the City of Darwin’s popular Street Food Program returning for another year.

From fresh wood-fired pizza to indulgent curly ice cream, food lovers will have even more choices at iconic outdoor locations across the city.

Expressions of interest for the 2025 program are now open, with food vendors encouraged to apply for a chance to set up in prime spots, including a brand-new location at the revitalised Bundilla Beach.

Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis said the program was a highlight of Darwin’s food culture, bringing people together in some of the city’s best outdoor spaces.

“Our street food program creates a fantastic atmosphere, whether it’s enjoying a meal by the coast at sunset or grabbing a bite at one of our bustling community events,” he said.

New vendors can trial their offerings with a discounted one-month permit, making it easier for budding food entrepreneurs to test the market.

The program runs from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026 and applications close on 28 February.
