Wimmera Machinery Field Days overview: New highlight for annual event
THIS year’s Wimmera Machinery Field Days will feature something new on the first day of the event, which will run from, Tuesday, March 5 to Thursday, March 7. FIND OUT WHAT.
FIFTY-seven years of tradition hasn’t stopped the Wimmera Machinery Field Days committee from trying something new.
This year they have introduced the Twilight Ag Expo on the first day of the event at Longrenong, offering extended hours to the public until 7pm.
The new format will see free entry for all attendees after 3pm on Tuesday, along with additional attractions throughout the night.

PARENTS AND BABIES
A well-equipped family and kids marquee is situated in Field Days Square behind the office offering a place to go for little ones to get changed, have a play and there are also private feeding areas available.
FIRST AID
Emergency Medical Response will have qualified First Aid trained staff and their fully equipped vehicles stationed near the Field Days office daily.

Instead of walking use our free ‘Site Explorer Bus’ to see the entire Field Days.

Use the free courier and parcel pick-up service to help with all your bigger purchases. Your item can be collected and taken to the depot until you are ready to head home.
BANKING
Banking services with eftpos for money withdrawal is located at the south end of the Field Days office. Opening hours are 9.30am-4.30pm (until 7pm on Twilight Day)
Wimmera Field Days manager Murray Wilson said it would be a good chance for more people in the area and beyond to experience the field days in a different way.
“We’re encouraging visitors to come out after work or school, have some tea and there’ll be some good stuff happening,” he said.
There will be an outdoor dining area with gourmet food and wine available from local eateries and wineries.
The pop-up wine bar by Seppelt’s Great Western and Prickly Moses mobile brewery will be providing refreshments on the night.
Live music and entertainment will also be on offer, with a Motocross FMX Stunt Show and the Team D Max Iron Summit with the world’s steepest 4WD ramp.
Fifteen thousand people are expected to attend the event, with more than 500 exhibitors providing plenty for them to look at, buy or get involved in.
Exhibitors range from tractor and machinery stalls to clothing and agribusiness sites.
Other attractions not to

three-day event include helicopter rides, shearing demonstrations, live snake and Australian wildlife displays and the ever-popular fashion parades.
Wednesday will be the Field Days Family Day and will have plenty for the kids to do, such as a free performance and meet and greet with George the Farmer.
A free “Site Explorer Bus” will run daily for visitors to rest their feet while seeing all of what the Field Days has to offer.
