LOVERS of gleaming new agricultural machinery have a treat in store with more than 30 of the latest examples of cutting edge technology on show at the O’Connors display.
After more than half a century exhibiting at the event and with a bigger site this year and new location, the farm machinery and Case IH dealership will have something to interest everyone — from the Case IH Axial Flow 7240 combine harvester to a range of Ausplow and German Horsch tillage gear.
New too will be three daily walkarounds of key equipment by product specialists and O’Connors sales staff.
These will allow visitors to kick a few tyres and get the nitty-gritty on machines such as the Ausplow DBS, Croplands Weedit sprayer and Case IH combines.
The West Australian-developed Ausplow DBS will be demonstrated by Chris Blight from Ausplow.
Case IH product manager Tim Slater will walk through the new features of the Case IH Axial Flow 7240 combine, discussing productivity gains and operator efficiency, while the savings from the WeedIt spot sprayer will be outlined.
“We won’t be under the same gum trees this year that we have watched grow over the past 50 years, but we will certainly be offering another shady spot to catch up with us and enjoy our hospitality,” said O’Connors marketing director Lisa Day.
“We see these days as a customer event, a nice time to build relationships and catch up in one spot with all the people we see through the year.
“We have information sessions as well and we include some hospitality to make it a good experience for anyone who wants to come and see us.”
Mr Day said machinery at the new location — at the northeastern section of the site — will include the Case IH Quadtrac 450, the Steiger Rowtrac 450, Magnum Rowtrac and Magnum wheeled tractors in various horsepowers, and Puma, Maxxum and Farmall gear.
There will be a self-propelled Case IH 4430 Patriot Sprayer along with a Manitou telehandler, a Sulky spreader, a Macdon front and mower conditioner, a Croplands Pegasus 5000-litre tow-behind spray unit and Weedit product.
O’Connor engineering will display comb trailers and ute trays.
O’Connors will also hold in-paddock Ausplow demonstrations throughout the Mallee and Wimmera this sowing season.
