GASON will be spreading the news at Speed about their new nine and 12.8-tonne spreaders which can throw cannulated fertiliser out 36m.

This is achieved with new widespread spinner sets developed at Gason which have a removable centre designed to allow quick changing for different products such as lime, gypsum and urea.

The heavy duty machines are finished in baked enamel paint and have high torque spinner motors with a speed readout, a three-speed gearbox, and slat-style chain feed.

The chain feed is designed to provide even distribution to the spinners without the material slipping or creating blockages at the rear door.

There is also an option of load cells to measure from the cab how much product remains in the bin during operation. Other options include rollover tarps, static calibration kits, hungry boards and heavy duty manure spinners.

Gason Spreaders are designed to accurately spread a variety of material including urea and chicken litter and have fewer moving parts to reduce maintenance requirements.

Also on display at the Gason site will be the 2210 Air Seeder with 21,300-litre capacity, 12.5m Cropper Topper fitted with a fan kit as well as 2m and 2.3m heavy duty vineyard mowers.

The new-release Gason 2210 or 2170 (17,500-litre) airseeder has individual bins, variable rate and can be fitted with options including load cells on each bin, pasture planter and 3.4m auger.

Monitoring options include Farmscan, Topcon, Trimble and John Deere Dry Rate Controller. The unique feature of individually mounted bins gives the ability to monitor and self-calibrate each bin if fitted with load cells.

The Cropper Topper is designed for clearing trash with tractors 300hp to 340hp. It has a cutting width of 12.5m and a maximum operating width of 12.7m.

It weighs 3.5 tonne thanks to 6mm folded deck plate, and has level lift phased hydraulic cylinders to adjust deck and cutting height, dual mulching blade assemblies to all rotors and height adjustable drawbar.
