Farm World 2021 opens with record crowd
After having last year’s event cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, Farm World is back and has kicked off with a record opening day crowd.
FARM World has kicked off today at Lardner Park with a record opening crowd, selling out all 7500 tickets for the day.
“I can’t tell you how amazing it is,” Lardner Park chief executive Craig Debnam said, recognising it had been a tough year with the coronavirus pandemic.
“The exhibitors have done just such an amazing job to pull the stock together because they had stock limitations with factories closing in Europe and the US.
“We didn’t know if they were going to be able to get as many implements and tractors and things here and the site just looks amazing with wall to wall tractors.”
The field days’ public event permit allows 7500 patrons a day.
Mr Debnam said there were still tickets available for Sunday and Saturday was selling out quickly.
The Telstra Women in Ag lunch function is on now, with speakers Frauke Bolten-Boshammer of Kimberley Fine Diamonds, Megan Williams of The Camel Milk Co. and Sophie Stewart of Got You Girl.
“There’s 220 guests in the room, which is fantastic,” Mr Debnam said live from the event.
“(And) the live demonstrations up the paddock are going really well, everything’s going fantastic.”
Last year, Farm World was cancelled due to coronavirus restrictions.
