The CWA stall in the craft pavilion at Agfest on May 3-5 at Carrick will highlight items using hemp.
CWA members have also knitted and crocheted 5000 poppies for the 2018 Centenary of Armistice with a poppy display at the Agfest stall.
CWA Tasmania president Lindy Cleeland, of Orielton, said hemp was a versatile plant that can be used in many ways. She’s also a proud advocate for the CWA.
“I am passionate about CWA and want to take as many people as I can along the path of what the organisation can do for personal development,” Mrs Cleeland said.
This year’s fundraising cause is for Missiondale, which is one of Tasmania’s residential sites for treatment of addictions, particularly ice.
The CWA state conference will be held September 7-9 in Launceston with the theme of “The Next Step”.
