The discontinued biscuits Aussies really want back | List
Gone but not forgotten.
Here are some of my most-missed discontinued biscuits. Prepare for a flood of nostalgia to be unleashed!
Honey snaps
Arguably one of the saddest moments in Aussie biscuit history was when these childhood icons were axed by Arnott’s. Trust us, we were just as sad as you were and even paid tribute to them with a dedicated story. *sad react*.
Quatro
Another Arnott’s retiree, these were the original chocolate biscuit from childhood. Chocolate biscuit, chocolate cream, chocolate coating. Did we mention chocolate?
Coffee scrolls
With a hint of cinnamon and a sugary centre, these Arnott’s favourites are missed by so many Aussies What were the chewy little bits – raisins? Whatever they were, they were incredible. And that spot of icing – yum! Don’t worry too much about these ones disappearing, as our sister site Australia’s Best Recipes has an incredible recipe so you can make them yourselves at home.
The O.G Iced Vovo
They’re still well and truly alive, but the Iced VoVos you see on supermarket shelves now are a bit different to the originals. The old-school version had a fluffy marshmallow on top, and now we can’t stop thinking about it. (Psst, check out our tart version of this quintessential Aussie treat).
Pigs in Mud
OMG we totally forgot about these choc biscuits until one of our foodies mentioned that “They had cute little pink piggies on them!”. SO CUTE!
Lattice biscuits
In my opinion, a vanilla slice was never complete without a layer of Lattice biscuits and I have to admit it hasn’t been the same since. However, we have put together the best alternatives for you all (just in case Arnott’s doesn’t answer our prayers and bring them back). We’ve even found a cool hack for how you can transform a SAO into a makeshift Lattice.
Mandarin slice
A choc-orange lover’s dream! These Arnott’s cream-filled treats were zesty and sweet and delicious. Bring them back!
The original Milo Bar
Not quite a bikkie, but always a feature in 90s lunchboxes. Ever since this delicious treat was discontinued in 2003, we’ve had a gaping hole in our hearts. Yes, Milo still has bars on the market, but we won’t ever forget how GOOD the original was.
We will never lose hope that one day, all these will make a comeback!
