Pull-apart cupcake recipes to impress your mates and kids with
We hope you’ve got a birthday party coming up, because you’re going to want to be the first person to show up with these. Yes, pull-apart cupcakes are the mind-blowing baking trick we never knew we needed.
Is it a cake? Is it a cupcake? It’s both! These giant cakes might look like complicated, over-the-top masterpieces, but they’re simply made up of cleverly assembled and decorated cupcakes.
Our very talented commercial food director Tiffany Page is the brains behind these four remarkable creations. You can choose from a rainbow, an emoji, a giant cupcake or… yes… a Minecraft sword.
Tiffany says: “Pull-apart cupcakes make a rather impressive party centrepiece, but you don’t even have to bake the cupcakes yourself. All you have to do is arrange them into the shape of your choice and get crafty with a piping bag and some icing.”
Prepare yourselves…
Rainbow pull-apart cupcakes
Simply arrange 58 vanilla cupcakes into an arch, mix up seven different coloured icings and get your star nozzle and your steady hand ready. You can pipe extra stars where needed to fill in any gaps (or correct errors!)
Smiley emoji pull-apart cupcakes
This cake will put a smile on everyone’s face – including yours as it’s so easy to make! If you’re feeling extra creative you can try a different emoji (wink wink).
Giant pull-apart cupcake
We struggled with the title for this one – it started out as the “giant cupcake pull-apart cupcakes cake”! This one features 33 cupcakes arranged into the shape of one giant cupcake. Oh, and it’s smothered in delicious buttercream and jelly beans.
Minecraft sword pull-apart cupcakes
We know how much kids love Minecraft, so this one was a must. Just two shades of blue and two shades of brown result in the hilt and blade of a sword – we know you’ll (ahem) dig it as much as us.
So, when’s the next birthday party? Tomorrow?
