It’s a classic and it’s having a resurgence. Check out the Arnott’s biscuit making a tasty comeback - and three recipes to make the best of it.

Glass window biscuits

The humble Malt ‘O’ Milk, with their nostalgic malted milk flavour, have long been enjoyed dunked into a cuppa, shouldered around cream to make a slice, or crumbled into a cake. You name it, the versatile Malt ‘O’ Milk can do it.

What are Malt ‘O’ Milks?

As biscuits go, the Malt ‘O’ Milk is a relatively mild flavoured option. Made predominantly from wheat flour, sugar and malt, it is a softer biscuit that comes in a rectangular shape, perfect for dunking and enjoying with family, friends, or solo with a good book.

How can I cook with Malt ‘O’ Milk biscuits?

Because it’s a more subtle flavour, the Malt ‘O’ Milk can go in just about anything. Crushed in a dessert ball or as a cheesecake base, used whole in an eye-catching slice or just thrown into an ice-cream treat.

The return of the Malt

We’ve seen a few malty and biscuity items making a comeback this year. Biscoff is of course all the rage right now (check out our no-bake Biscoff cheesecake), while Milo is enjoying a bit of time on top (largely due to this mind blowing two-ingredient Milo microwave cake). So we weren’t surprised to see that Ausies are falling back in love with Malt ‘O’ Milks too. (For the record, we never actually stopped loving them.)
