Chef and cookbook author Céline Chung challenges stereotypes surrounding Chinese food as she reveals six of her favourite recipes.

Founder of Bao Family restaurants Céline Chung is challenging the stereotype surrounding Chinese food, creating a cookbook that takes readers on a journey through eight distinct and deliciously different culinary regions of China.

The chef and cookbook author has given her take on classic Chinese foods Aussies love.

* Céline Chung was born in Paris to Chinese parents. Growing up eating her mother’s traditional cooking, Céline did a university exchange in Shanghai to discover China for herself.

She fell in love with the food and travelled across the country to learn about the varied regional cuisines.

In 2019 she opened Petit Bao, serving authentic traditional Chinese cuisine made with French-sourced ingredients in a modern setting inspired equally by Paris and Shanghai. There are now four Paris restaurants in the Bao family.
