Messina’s gelato-filled Easter eggs make a comeback

They may look like typical Easter eggs but these special treats filled with different flavours of gelato are sure to hit the sweet spot.

Popular gelato franchise Messina has made everyone’s Easter by announcing the return of the brand’s epic gelato-filled Easter eggs.

Treat yourself to Messina’s neapolitan-inspired Ménage Egg Trois gelato trio, and you won’t need any other eggs in your basket.

The eggs are comprised of a custard and shortbread gelato with a strawberry jam yolk, all encased in a strawberry white chocolate dip; a vanilla and coconut gelato with mango sorbet and mango gel yolk and baked cheesecake, wrapped in a white chocolate and desiccated coconut dip; and a milk chocolate gelato with peanut fudge, chocolate brownies and peanut butter caramel, enveloped in a pretzel and milk chocolate dip.

If you’re more of an egg traditionalist, opt instead for the Eggomaniac giant chocolate egg – a handmade golden Messina milk chocolate egg shell, sprinkled with chopped roasted hazelnuts and filled with six rocher balls.

And, in a Wonka-esque touch, this year, there are also two golden eggs to be found. If your milk chocolate egg is gold on the outside, this means you’ve won a whole year’s worth of Messina. The odds are slim, sure, but if you do happen to strike it eggs-tra lucky, please call me immediately so I can become your best friend.
