RICHMOND has resisted the temptation to make changes ahead of Saturday’s preliminary final.
The Tigers’ VFL team has been in hot form charging into the Grand Final while the AFL team has been idle after beating Geelong in the qualifying final a fortnight ago.
However, Damien Hardwick has stuck with the 22 that got the job done against the Cats in the hope they can deliver the club its first Grand Final appearance since 1982.

Shai Bolton was the hot tip to come into the team after VFL coach Craig McRae described the Western Australian as a “level above” the second-tier competition.
Instead, the first-year play was named as an emergency along with Shaun Hampson and Corey Ellis.
The Giants will also go into the MCG blockbuster unchanged after Steve Johnson pulled up well as he manages his ageing knees.

Tip: I’m on board – the Tigers will make the 2017 AFL Grand Final
Who to look out for:
- Jack Riewoldt, the stage is set for Jack to produce a big game, he is a big game player, loves the crowds, loves kicking a goal and celebrating. I wouldn’t be surprised if he kicks 4 or more.
- Dustin Martin, do I need to say much about this guy? He will be a Brownlow medalist on Monday and I expect him to lead the tiger army to the Grand Final.
- Nick Vlastuin, doesn’t get the recognition he deserves down back. He has been rock solid this year and along with Rance is a big reason why the Tigers have come this far.
