Agricultural glam, farmer Instagram and a ticket to Amsterdam are set to combine for the social highlight on southwest Victoria’s dairy calendar.

Back by popular demand, boots are being shined and dresses selected for the WestVic Dairy Farmers’ Ball, with tickets on sale for the November 30 event.

Organised by Young Dairy Network Leaders including Zoe Greenslade and Sam Kermond, more than 200 people attended last year’s inaugural event.

“It’s a great opportunity to network, catch-up with other farmers and raise funds for an important cause,” Sam says.

The mainstay of the ball is a charity raffle, with all proceeds this year to be donated to the Neil Porter Legacy Foundation.

Lely Australia has thrown its weight behind the cause, offering the raffle winner a dream trip to the Netherlands, complete with return airfares to Amsterdam, a week’s accommodation and an agri itinerary that includes farm visits and a behind-the-scenes tour of Lely Headquarters.

“It’s a fantastic prize — there’s a lot of excitement about the potential to win a trip to the Netherlands,” Sam says.

“But it’s also raising money for an important cause — the Neil Porter Legacy.”

Tickets to the Warrnambool event are now available via the WestVic Dairy website.

Each event ticket includes a welcome drink, one raffle ticket, and music from cover band, Good Faces for Radio.
