GrainCorp workers have reached an agreement with the company over a pay dispute and voted on a new Enterprise Agreement on Monday.
A GrainCorp spokesperson said the company was pleased NSW employees had voted in favour of the agreement.
“This outcome reflects our commitment to providing a fair, competitive and supportive workplace for our valued team members.”
Australian Workers Union NSW branch secretary Tony Callinan confirmed the industrial action had stopped.
He said the agreement included a 6 per cent increase, with a $1250 payment.
Mr Callinan said the AWU delegates were happy with the outcome and considered it a significant win for the membership.
Previously GrainCorp workers had been receiving an annual increase in pay of 2 per cent.
The AWU says when inflation is taken into account the wages had in fact been declining by 7.5 per cent.
Mr Callinan said the union had recommended members vote yes to the proposal.
“I am confident that this will go ahead,” he said.
