"My hubby and I were on a road trip and whilst passing through the Victorian rural town of Wedderburn I spotted these two dogs walking down the street who stopped to welcome these other dogs that were in the back of a working ute parked on the side of the road. "We watched in amazement as these two dogs took it in turns to reach up to sniff and say hi the kelpie in the ute, there was no one around and the body language of all these dogs was calm and welcoming ( with not a growl or bark to be herd ) such a wonderful thing to witness. "Then with all tails wagging the two dogs left and went on their way. "This bought such a smile to our faces to witness and reminded us of 'GOOD OLE COUNTRY HOSPITALITY'."

It was love at first sight! "Sadly we lost Roxy last November, one month short of her 12th birthday. "Now our beloved Ella has cancer and her time left with us will be short. "They have been a constant delight and the most wonderful companions. "Dogs provide you with unconditional love and loyalty, unmatched by any other living being."

"Dayzee suffered a brain injury when she was only a few hours old, and was not expected to live," Stefanie says. "She managed to pull through, and came to live with us at five months old. "She needed a lot of help with walking properly and balance, and also suffered many seizures. "Her big brother, Fidel Castro (Labrador x German Shepherd, pictured together), was her protector and constant companion up until he passed 2 1/2 years ago. "Dayzee celebrated her 8th birthday in June, and is a happy go lucky girl, and we are blessed to have her in our lives."

"He loves to play ball and is fantastic and fetching and bringing them back to us. However, he is cheeky and very quick at staying often just out of our reach," she says. "He also loves too play with the water in the hoses. While we are watering the garden he constantly runs around us trying to grab the water. "Paddy is also an up and coming sheep dog. He is determined to chase the sheep instead of rounding them up, he thinks it is the best fun to run and chase them all over the place."
