Food and fibre on show in Otways

SOUTHWEST producers will be in the spotlight at the 2019 Otway Food and Fibre Showcase, writes CAMILLE SMITH.

OTWAY producers will be in the spotlight at the 2019 Otway Food and Fibre Showcase. Woolgrower Tom Dennis (pictured) from sheep homestead Tarndwarncoort will headline a stage of innovative fibre producers, while a second stage will showcase boundary-pushing farmers including Tammi Jonas of Jonai Farms, Kristy Stewart of Yan Yan Gurt West farm, the Meades of Barongarook Pork and Xavier Prime of Chooks at the Rooke. The growers will talk about landscape literacy, reinvigorating local food systems, agroforestry and holistic land management, plus 40 stallholders will sell their locally grown food and fibre.
