The woman pictured in a leaked photo of Latrell Mitchell has come forward as rumours over the image continue to swirl.

The woman pictured in the leaked image of injured South Sydney star Latrell Mitchell has outed herself on social media.

The photo of the 27-year-old Mitchell, which is under investigation by the NRL’s integrity unit and was taken inside a Dubbo motel room, has sparked widespread backlash over who is to blame for leaking the image.

Days after it came to light, the woman featured in the picture has come forward and made a joke about the photo with a post on her Facebook account.

“Disappointed that they got my bad side,” Amy Brown wrote. “Done me dirty.”

In a separate post, Brown wrote there was “no shame” in wanting to “have a bit of fun”, she however strongly hit back at suggestions she was the one who leaked the image.

“Didn’t even know the picture existed … I wouldn’t even know how to airdrop,” she wrote.

The NRL Integrity Unit is aware of this photo of South Sydney Rabbitohs fullback Latrell Mitchell.

Brown however wasn’t the only one to shut down rumours of being behind the leak with the mother of Cronulla Sharks player Braydon Trindall denying she was the one spreading it.

Kerri Cochrane was dragged into the storm with fingers being pointed at the Dubbo local for being the one to leak the image.

“As if I would do such a ­f***in thing,” Ms Cochrane wrote on Facebook.

“Tbh (to be honest) idgaf (I don’t give a f**k) what Latrell Mitchell does or anyone else for that matter and I don’t need to ruin someone’s life and footy career to make a quick buck.”

Ms Cochrane claimed a fake Snapchat account using her name had been set up to share the image.

Speaking on NRL 360 on Monday night, veteran journalist Phil Rothfield said Mitchell’s camp was aware of who distributed the photo because it was screenshotted off social media platform Snapchat before being shared onwards.

“From my information this picture was taken in Dubbo after that taken coaching clinic,” Rothfield said.

“It will be significant if he is found guilty. Very hard one to prove.

“It was taken and distributed on Snapchat and someone has screenshot it off Snapchat. From that you can tell who has done that. I know (Mitchell’s manager) Matt Rose and the camp have suspicions.

“I’m not going to mention the name for defamation reasons but I think the person who has put the photo out there will have a bit to answer for by the end of the week.”

Fox League’s James Hooper added: “Whoever has decided to put it in the public domain, it’s an ordinary act.”

Former NRL star Mitchell Pearce came out in defence of Mitchell and called for the person who leaked the image to be hit with harsh sanctions.

“I hope someone comes down hard on the person who’s filming these things,” Pearce said on the Half-Time podcast.

“It would be good to know what the laws are around this because it’s bulls--t. You’d hope it’s not his mate, but whoever was in there and doing that stuff needs big repercussions.

“The game needs to find out who these people are and go hard on them. They should name and shame them because these people get away with murder and there’s no repercussions.

“Poor Latrell will put his hand up and say he’s done the wrong thing, but the other person who filmed it needs to be named and shamed and have their photo on the back page.

“It’s a horrible feeling right now to be Latrell and to have this stuff surface.

“I feel for him, but at the same time, if he’s done this then he’s put himself in an average position, hasn’t he?

“It’s not good for the game and it’s not good for Latrell. No one knows what that white substance was, so it’s hard to comment on that, but it’s not good for the game and it’s not good for Souths with the year that they’ve had.”

Mitchell has endured a suspension and injury-plagued 2024 season on the field, appearing in just 11 games for the Bunnies this year.

He helped NSW secure this year’s State of Origin series, but sustained a foot injury in round 18 and is not expected to play again this season.

Mitchell put pen to paper on a five-year deal with the Rabbitohs back in 2022, locking him in with the club until the end of the 2027 season.
