An investigation into the podiatric surgery has spoken to more than 20 patients around the country.

The pattern in those conversations was the same: the patients claim to have had poor outcomes, often accompanied by significant pain, and that they were shocked to discover the person operating on them did not have a medical degree.

Many are now calling for action from regulators to better inform consumers. You can read some of their stories in their words below.
