Black Friday, the sale period originating out of the US and Thanksgiving, continues to take hold in Australia. According to research from Roy Morgan, Australians are set to spend a record $6.7 billion over this period – a 5.5 per cent increase from last year. It’s also shaping up to be a time for frugal Christmas shoppers, 53 per cent of Aussies having bought gifts as of mid-October.
