A FORMER Little Athletics volunteer may stand trial this year over allegations she defrauded the not-for-profit of more than $11,000.
Rhonda Ruth O’Sign, 60, made her first appearance in the Supreme Court of Tasmania on Monday after previously pleading not guilty to 41 counts of fraud, three counts of fraud as a clerk and two counts of cheating.
The Sunday Tasmanian previously reported that the Low Head resident was charged after Tasmania Police conducted an investigation into allegations that about $30,000 had been misappropriated from the sporting body.
Little Athletics, which caters for children aged three to 15, has been running since 1973 in Tasmania.
On Monday, Chief Justice Alan Blow remanded Ms O’Sign on bail, to reappear in court on March 1.
