A woman accused of murdering a man in a social housing complex is expected to stand trial early next year.
Annette Louise Ruth Hancock, 54, has pleaded not guilty to one count of murder dating back to the night of March 9, 2022.
She is accused of fatally stabbing a 51-year-old man in a social housing complex on Harrington Street, Walford Terraces.
Ms Hancock appeared in the Supreme Court of Tasmania on Tuesday, via video from where she is held on remand at Mary Hutchinson Women’s Prison.
Justice Gregory Geason was told barrister Kim Baumeler would act for Ms Hancock, and that her case was now awaiting a trial date.
The court heard the trial would likely be held in the first sittings of 2024.
Ms Hancock will reappear in court on November 21.
