A Tasmanian grandmother has made an impassioned plea for help in finding her young granddaughter who has been missing since last Sunday.
Police have been using the rescue helicopter to search for 14-year-old Shyanne-Lee Tatnell, who was last seen in Henry St, Launceston on Sunday around 8.30pm.
Her North-West grandmother Michelle Hubbard is desperate to hear from Shyanne-Lee, posting a heartbreaking message on social media with a photo of the girl.
“Please bring our beautiful Shyanne-Lee home to us safely,” she wrote on Facebook.
“We are so concerned as to her whereabouts and safety.
“Nanny needs you home my darling girl xo”
Tasmania Police are urging Shyanne-Lee to make contact, and want her to know “there are people who care for her and want to know she is safe.”
The teen is about 160cm tall with a slim build. She was last seen wearing a white hooded jumper, with the hood up, police say.
