TWO of the three men who are alleged to have murdered prison hospital escapee Nicholas Aaron Scott have now pleaded not guilty and will stand trial.
On Wednesday, 44-year-old David Ian Charles Coles appeared in the Hobart Magistrates Court via video link and pleaded not guilty to the murder at Granton, dating back to January 3 this year.
The Collinsvale resident will appear in the Supreme Court of Tasmania on June 14 ahead of trial.
Mr Coles also pleaded not guilty to a number of other charges on Wednesday, including burglary, stealing and guns offences.
In February, Moonah man Shaun George Barrow, 21, also pleaded not guilty to murdering Scott.
Mr Barrow, who is on bail, will return to court later this month.
In January, 20-year-old Brock Callum Davey appeared in court over the alleged murder of Scott, but has not yet entered a plea.
The trio has been accused of murdering Scott, whose body was found by police outside a Granton residence just hours after he escaped prison guards at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
His hospital escape triggered a police manhunt when he fled the hospital about 10.50pm on January 2, only to be found deceased about 1.30am the next morning.
