An alleged Bandidos bikie boss will stand trial this September – following a major federal police and gang squad raid in the township of Dover almost three years ago.
Fahed Elniz, 47, and Tracey Elniz, 46, have both been charged with conspiracy to commit a crime.
Mr and Mrs Elniz were arrested in June 2020 after more than 60 police officers swarmed Dover as part of a crackdown on the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle club.
But the Supreme Court of Tasmania confirmed on Monday the pair now only faced the conspiracy charge after the Director of Public Prosecutions did not proceed with the other charges.
Mr and Mrs Elniz did not appear in person in a brief administrative hearing before Chief Justice Alan Blow, but were dialled in by telephone.
They remain on bail.
The court was told both Mr and Mrs Elniz were seeking lawyers to represent them in their upcoming trial, which is flagged for the September sittings.
The Mercury previously reported the 2020 raid occurred when more than 60 police officers swarmed Dover as part of a crackdown on the Bandidos Outlaw Motorcycle Club.
The raid at the tiny township involved local police, the Australian Federal Police and the National Anti-Gang Squad.
The pair will return to court on July 25 ahead of trial.
