Jessica Zrinski was a ray of sunshine with a big heart who loved singing, dancing and spending time with her family, until her life was tragically cut short.
One of the last-known sightings of Jessica was at 10.10pm on November 28, 2022, when security footage captured her getting into a blue Holden Commodore at Greenfield Tavern, in Sydney’s west.
She had just left her grandmother’s house.
About 15 minutes later, footage from a petrol station in Horsley Park showed Jessica sitting in the passenger seat of the same car with a man in a grey t-shirt.
He refuelled, before jumping back in the driver’s side with two bottles of Coke and taking off.
The following day, on November 29, the same car was captured pulling into a petrol station at Mount Victoria, in the Blue Mountains, about 90km west of Horsley Park. There was damage on the vehicle, and a tree branch jammed in the door.
Jessica could not be seen in the footage.
The 30-year-old was often uncontactable for days at a time, so her family didn’t report her missing until December 3 – but by then, it was too late. She was never seen again.
Jessica’s aunt and uncle, Robyn and Vlad Zrinski, have partnered with the team behind the award-winning podcast, Dear Rachelle, for a new multimedia investigation called Left in the Cold. It explores Jessica’s missing persons case, which has lay stagnant for almost three years.
Left in the Cold is out now. Follow the investigation below.
