When shooting great Susan Pettitt revealed she would be moooooving on from elite netball at the end of the Giants season old mate Kim Green knew a bouquet of flowers wasn’t going to cut it as a farewell present.

With the “stakes” high, Green and her teammates at the Giants though about what Pettitt loves best outside netball and the choice for her gift was then simple

“We have bought Susan a cow for her retirement present. A miniature Southern Highlands cow,’’ said Green.

“She is a NSW netball great. We had to get her some that wasn’t flowers or a framed dress.

“Sam Poolman said why not a miniature cow? So we did.’’

Green said they contacted Pettitt’s husband Brad to buy the latest addition to the former Diamond netballer’s extended family on their behalf.

The netballer, now able to milk her retirement for years to come, has dreams of creating a farm full of miniature animals at her Albion Park property

The cow will join spoodles Harvey and Eric, eight chickens and miniature pig Cyril on the property.
