AFTER speaking to coaches, league officials and so-called ‘footy experts’, we’ve compiled and ranked the best of the best from the SFL, NWFL, NTFA, OSFA, DFA and the ODFA into a star-studded who’s who of Tassie’s regional footy scene.
From the star forwards who regularly kick bags of goals, midfielders who drive their team and defenders who never miss their assignment, this list is quality from top to bottom.
Upon compiling and ranking the players, the Mercury took into consideration both the 2022 season as well as the players’ past achievements, but with a heavier weighting on their 2022 season.
After publishing the top 100 we asked our readers to vote whether players were overrated, underrated or if they agreed where they’d been ranked.
You can now see the results of their choices by selecting 'Reader's Top 100' at the top of the interactive.
