Athletes were having a field day as records continued to fall at the NSW All Schools Athletics meet at Sydney Olympic Park on Monday. Stars, standouts, great photos and stories here.

Athletes were having a field day at the NSW All Schools on Monday with medals decided in a raft of events and more records falling.

While the runners prepared for their finals in the afternoon, field athletes grabbed a slice of the limelight in the morning before the sprinters came back out to play.

More than 200 athletes are competing at the 2022 championships which started on Saturday and finish on Tuesday.

TRIPLE GOLD FOR YOUNG GUN ON A MISSION

Xavier Perry has his eyes on winning his first national title this year – and he’s doing everything in his power to achieve the feat.

The youngster from the Nepean Club produced a blinding 200m run to claim his third gold medal of the meet.

The victory followed on from his win in the 100m and 400m racing. ‘

“I’m thrilled with the results,’’ he said.

DYLAN HALL CLAIMS SPRINT DOUBLE

The Knox athlete was one of a number of athletes to claim a sprint double with success in the 200m racing on Monday.

Hall, who will line up for the Gen Blue 15s team against the Brisbane Reds Academy in rugby next month, had earlier won the 100m,

“I’m pretty happy with that. It was a PB,’’ he said.

He also wasn't far off the meet record of 21.64 set in 2013 by Jordan Shelley from The Hills Grammar.

Hayley Kitching from Coffs Harbour also won the 1500m 19 years final.

HAYLEY KITCHING’S EXTRAORDINARY RECORD

Hayley Kitching was the toast of the track late in the afternoon with her sizzling run in the 800m 19 years race.

The Coffs Harbour runner broke the 1991 meet time of Suzy Walsham (2:09.91) in the race.

Sebastian Sultana from SIXC winning the boys 200m 17 years final.

SEBASTIAN SULTANA BREAKS ANOTHER RECORD

He set one of the first records of the meet in the 100m race on Saturday.

On Monday he was back in the winners circle when he completed the 100m and 200m sprint double by besting a 20 year old mark..

Sultana broke the 200m 17 years record of 21.28 set way back in 2002 by Jacob Groth.

Another record set was in the boys 3000m 14 Years race.

The meet record was 9:00.65 and was set back in 2014 by Lorcan Redmond.

It now belongs to Matthew Mclachlan.

BRYCE NOLAN WINS DISCUS TITLE

Westfield Sports Bryce Nolan wasn’t that happy with his performance in the discus but he still walked away with the All Schools title.

“It wasn’t good but I still won which was,’’ said the 17-year-old.

“I was hoping for a meet record but I wasn't near it.,’’

The meet record in the Boys Discus 1.5kg 17 Years is a mighty 65.94m which was set back in 2012 by Ben Fitzgerald form Hunter Sport.

DOUBLE GOLD FOR BEN STEVENS

It’s been a good meet for Ben Stevens from Trinity.

The young gun, whose future goal is to represent Australia at an Olym[cos and Commonwealth Games, added the discus to the shot put title he won a day earlier.

“I’ve got the hammer next but I will be competing up and age so not sure how well I will do,’’ he said

IRINI KAPSALIS DEFENDS HER TITLE

Irini Kapsalis won her first medal of the meet with her performance in the girls 13 years shot put.

The youngster won the same event last year.

“It is a fairly good result,’’ she said.

“It's not a PB. That’s what I’m chasing this season.’’

Other field results on Monday included Toby Calder winning the high jump 14 years with a leap of 1.80m, Madison Cornish from Engadine High (10.17m) winning the shot put 3kg 12 years and Chelsy Wayne (45.39) winning the girls discus 1kg 15 years.

In the boys long ump 13 years Kyros Ghadiali from The King’s School (5.42m) was victorious and Ashton Taeiloa, 12, from Mount Carmel (12.82m) won the boys shot put 3kg 12 Years.
