ONE of the out and out superstars of the TSL is on the move in the race to be crowned the state league’s best and fairest as the Alastair Lynch Medallist.
Tigers ball magnet Kieran Lovell was at his absolute best in round five, propelling the Tigers to their first win of the season and himself to equal leader in the Lynch Medal count.
The Mercury is exclusively revealing the first 11 rounds for the premier individual award for the state’s premier football competition.
Lovell’s best afield effort, where he had 29 touches, 10 clearances, 10 inside 50s and a goal, has seen him draw level with Lauderdale ruckman Haydn Smith and Clarence teenager Ethan Jackson, with another big name is just a vote behind.
Launceston midfield star Jobi Harper, the Lynch favourite going into the count, is probably unlucky not to have more votes already, and has been joined on four votes by teammate Jay Blackberry who picked up three in the Blues narrow win over North Hobart.
