Field 4 is quickly building a reputation for hosting the most hectic matches of the tournament.

It began with a seven-goal U16 thriller settled in Victoria favour late on against Queensland Maroon.

Goals again flowed in the Victoria Blue v Queensland Silver U15 game - but there was also a red card.

Victoria Blue took the match 6-1, scoring two penalties in the opening 10 minutes before Queensland Silver had a player sent off.

The day ended with NSW Metro U15 putting 11 goals past Western Australia.

Victoria Blue coach Steve Robinson was pleased with his side’s response after the opposition went a player down.

“I didn’t see the challenge, I’m not sure what happened but I think the girls did really well to adjust to the opposition changing structure,” he said.

“We adjusted well and managed to score a few goals out of it.

“I think we had two penalties in the first 10 or so minutes, we have encouraged the players to be as attacking as possible and attack the goal. That’s what they did and they got rewarded for it.”

Robinson hails from Bendigo where he began his soccer journey at Bendigo City before moving to (National Training Centre) NTC in 2019.

He began as an assistant in the first two seasons at the NTC before transitioning into a head coaching position.

“It’s been good, I have been to a few of these now and they are always exciting and a great event to be involved in,” he said.
