Queensland White are the final team through to the U16 semi finals after a gutsy 1-0 win over Victoria White.

It was just the second win for the Queensland side, who placed second in their group with one win and two draws.

Captain Jackson O’Reilly said to make it to the semi finals was an ‘unreal feeling’.

“We came here to try and win it,” O’Reilly said.

“We came here today and knew we would have to work hard and it just came our way.”

Queensland White are now the only team remaining from their state, and are set to face Northern NSW in the semis, after they defeated NSW Metro White 3-2.

Earlier Victoria Blue defeated South Australia 2-1 to advance, while NSW Metro Sky downed local rivals NSW Metro White 3-1.

PREVIEW

After a frustrating start, NSW Metro Sky have secured their place in the NYC U16 quarter-finals at WIN Stadium.

They have bounced back from a 2-0 loss to start their campaign to jump into second in their group, moving onto the next round.

They are set to battle their own state in NSW Metro Navy in the quarters, with all the action to be streamed LIVE and EXCLUSIVE from 9am.

NSW Metro Navy also had a tough time making it to the quarter-finals, despite finishing top of their group.

Group B were only split by point difference, with NSW Metro Navy finishing just above Queensland White.

Western Australia were still in with a shot of the top two before the final pool round games, where they fell to Metro Navy to bump them out.

Another NSW team, this time Metro White, has booked a do-or-die clash with local rivals Northern NSW Football.

Metro White finished top of group C with two wins and one loss, with Northern NSW also had one loss, to eventual group leaders South Australia.
